    @santanderuk This continued for a further 24 hrs with over 35 new accts being opened. I, therefore, had to call to explain the situation. The call handler was helpful and said he would close the new accts but I was staggered that as a customer facing employee he was not aware of the situation

    @santanderuk Also told I can’t do what I need to do over the phone has to be in the bank unable even to talk to someone in the branch My other post on media wow thousands of people got the same problem with that particular branch no one contacts us by end of day we are closing all accounts

    @santanderuk is the worst student bank account, i had transferred my current account last week and i was told i will get my rail card in 5 working days but its been more than that and i still haven’t got anything from them and i have tried to contact them but its awful service

    I'm being asked to provide ID via driving licence or passport and a face scan to GET INTO MY EXISTING BANK ACCOUNT. And I have three days to do it or my access to my own money could be restricted. Anyone else? Why? @santanderuk

    @mturner1961 @santanderuk My 94 year old grandmother got the exact same thing. She no longer had a driving licence or passport so ultimately had to switch because Santander had restricted access. And she had the account for years and never had she been asked for this.

    @chaosprimeZ @santanderuk i had similar issues with them a while back. Ive now moved to Nationwide.
