@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK the lesson here is don't bother having contracts, the monthly pay as you deals are just as good if not better nowadays and you can dump them and move on if there's any hassle. The whole contract system benefits them not the customer.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK It's seemingly standard business practice for any subscription model service, make it far too much effort to leave so you just pay. Its a seriously poor part of consumer rights that needs to be made much better. You should be able to cancel for any reason at any time

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Vodafone are the WORST, you are only responding now because of the bad social media responses this could drum up! Disgraceful.

@GeorgeMonbiot @GdVikki @VodafoneUK I make a complaint and get transferred to the business department again where I have to go through the whole thing from scratch that I’m not a business customer and I’m just there because I need accessible statements! Advisor tells me he can easily transfer me if I pay £120!

@adri_port @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Ought/should - but they don’t. Vodafone were great for my family - but I’ve got a similar example with Halifax who were just awful to deal with in person and on the phone.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK So sorry for your loss and this shocking experience. Sadly doesn’t surprise me given experiences I’ve had w/ some corporates when I have LPOA and try to cancel contracts.
