    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had a similar experience with TalkTalk a few years ago. There was simply no way of cancelling and when I eventually got to speak to someone they hung up. I will never sign up for anything until I know what the exit strategy is.

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK And this is why I am with @ThreeUK! Been with them coming up to 10 years and never had a problem! They are always polite on the phone and can’t do enough for their customers!!!

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I’m unsurprised. I found it impossible to cancel my contract with Vodafone….despite calling and visiting their shop, where the customer service assistant used my phone to call the cancellation line as ‘his phone in store couldn’t call customer services 😡. Appalling company.

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Minus the bereaved parent I had a very similar experience in trying to cancel a contract back in 2014. Two years after I cancelled it they sent me a letter claiming I owed them around £500!!

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK When my sister passed away they demanded her original death certificate from me to cancel her contract. They were rude and insensitive and to top it off, threatened to have her cut off… The absolute worst company I’ve ever dealt with.

    @GordonJBarclay @VodafoneUK My father died on Christmas Day. It took me 15 minutes to cancel his Vodafone contract without issue.
