  • janieks Janie Knowles 🏳️‍🌈🌈🏳️‍⚧️ (@janieks) reported

@chastownley @VodafoneUK Bob would be 18 years this year, so annoying when companies don’t help,

  • SUEHOUG18750102 SUE HOUGHTON (@SUEHOUG18750102) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Some of these techy companies need to train their staff on how to deal with the issues of their older customers. 14 years ago I tried to cancel my dad’s mobile phone contract under a POA when he had dementia - it was like nailing jelly to a tree. Nothing it seems has changed

  • pennyarnie Penny 🏉 (@pennyarnie) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @andy_williamson @VodafoneUK I tried Shelley Malton. Absolutely nothing, after 11 weeks of hell, I contacted my local MP. No apology, but did get sorted after this. Shelley is a disgrace to her profession. Very rude so no surprise her staff are. Shelley Malton Customer Services, Operations & Digital Director

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK You're all right, it's ridiculous. It's one of those things that I do something about and fail, and then it goes in the "to do" pile and then I pick it up and repeat the process, again. And again. Its my fault for not fighting fully, but also really shouldn't be this hard!

  • H2Oli Oliver 🇺🇦 (@H2Oli) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @Zebraskindiva45 @VodafoneUK I had this same problem. No end of calls and transfers. In the end it was the online chat that solved the problem very quickly.

  • Stormrepawt Hels Griffith & Storm (@Stormrepawt) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @GdVikki @VodafoneUK I’ve just been the executor for my Mum’s will and had no problems with her internet provider, phone company and utilities as they all had bereavement teams who responded appropriately. The water company stopped the billing at date of death instead of house sale date.

  • SHannamSwain Steph Hannam-Swain 👩🏼‍🦼 (@SHannamSwain) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK When I was 18 I was with @VodafoneUK first contract. Im disabled and needed my mobile to work at home. Virtually no signal. Wouldn’t cancel contract. Dad had to bail me out of it. Then years later found a black mark on my credit rating over £10 I didn’t know I owed them

  • AnnMartinF Ann Martin F (@AnnMartinF) reported

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot I will never take out a contract with you.

  • GregPackman Greg Packman (@GregPackman) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Minus the bereaved parent I had a very similar experience in trying to cancel a contract back in 2014. Two years after I cancelled it they sent me a letter claiming I owed them around £500!!

  • timefried Travis (@timefried) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK They have broken the law. The Disability Act is quite clear on this. (With the greatest respect to your Father).
