@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Make a small claims court demand, with lots of costs and time and trouble. you will win

  • QFromage Quel Fromage (@QFromage) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK You have my sympathy and condolences. I’d like to say I’m surprised by the behaviour of Vodafone. They caused my dad a lot of stress chasing him for debts he never owed. For all those reading this thread wondering about using Vodafone, caveat emptor.

  • MutliRaceMan Jean Thierry 💙 (@MutliRaceMan) reported from Birmingham, England

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This doesn’t surprise me at all. My mother died in 2003 and trying to close her BT landline account was a nightmare. The person I spoke to kept saying “we need to speak to the customer”! Finally I went into the BT sales centre saw a charming lady and in 20 minutes I had finished.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Just like to say that a lot of big corporates appear to be deliberately not putting enough people on lines etc in a bid to make us go away. Customer service means absolutely nothing. It’s this greed, we can get away with anything culture so portrayed by our illustrious leader.

  • XXX1v Nicholas Hirst HND,BSc, MRes (@XXX1v) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK My phone developed a fault that resulted in a monthly bill of £900. I rang customer help and was told by a very rude woman that it was my fault and I had to pay them. I cancelled my DD and of course they sent me debt collectors. I did pay eventually but felt cheated.

@VodafoneUK @speckyninja If inly he had previously thought to try and talk to you about it! Or maybe he did and your customer service is appalling

@GeorgeMonbiot @jfranklynh @VodafoneUK I was with vodaphone for a year, worst phone company I’ve been with. I was told I wouldn’t get a final bill and would actually be refunded £20. I did get a final bill and speaking to them was a waste of time, they don’t care. They owe me £52.

@VodafoneUK @DialsWine Your use of the wave emoji isn't cute, we know it's your sad attempt of "being polite" whilst actually giving the finger. Please maybe don't if you actually want to keep customers. We aren't that stupid. 👋

  • KirstieIMoar MummyMoar (@KirstieIMoar) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I used to pay for son’s phone, he grew up & got contract of his own. They refused to cancel contract despite at a year of the phone not being used. I explained & said I would cancel DD. Same thing - they miraculously cancelled contract & did debt recovery for 1 months payment!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I’ve been here before, with Sky TV. Only one solution: send them ONE message/text asking to END your subscription. IMMEDIATELY stop your direct debit. You will eventually get a debt-collector letter, and the debt agent WILL talk to you, and resolve it. Money talks...
