@waze While I got you here. You guys aware of an issue with Apple Car Play where Waze gets stuck in one location? No button to re-center? Tried closing Waze app, and turned phone on and off. Sticks between multiple drives. That’s why I had to use apple this morning

@uhRELIuh Not as much since Google bought them and Apple is improving. Waze has had more and more issues too. Won’t load directions and/or won’t allow me to post about a hazard. Favorites keep resetting to an order I don’t want. It’s a mess.

@midwestbiaspod @buffalo_alice AND if you are later than what the mapping app says, I will explain what caused the problem. Yesterday, I was headed somewhere, and the major highway was shut down for a funeral procession of a law officer. There’s no way Waze would have known that.

@MargaretKrauss Those of us with anxiety need an app like waze that allows us to select a route that avoids bridges with a poor rating. It also would give more visibility to the issue. In a technology rich city, that doesn't seem like too big of an ask, does it? #BridgeCollapse

@rebeccajtiffany Again, I’m not necessarily opposed to such a thing. Waze already does a lot of that for me - but we need to think through all the technical issues, human factors involved, and unintended knock-on consequences.

@G_Kay5 I had a big problem with mi phone as of you on Bluetooth, your WiFi connection will be weak af. Even worse Waze or gps not workable on Xiaomi phone. Still facing same ****?

@TeslaTruckClub @Tesla I think Tesla changes the data they source and - at least - apply the lower speed limit to roads with different directional speed limits. I have checked OSM, Waze and TomTom, they all have correct limits... So bad and "easy" to fix 🤬

@MerylORourke @onechiswick Is the A205 a main road? Sadly that's where cars should be, not using side streets picked by Waze as a shortcut. 70% of journeys in London are one person going <3 miles. The drivers are the problem, not the LTNs.

@waze pushed an update a couple of weeks ago. It logged me out. I had trouble logging back in. Apparently because me previous account wasn’t associated with my google account, I’ve now lost 13 years of driving history, etc. #csfail

What if GPS or Waze had a charming voice that said: it's raining, turn on headlights. Or, it's dark, turn on your headlights. Or, according to my map, this is a 25 mph road, not 45 mph, slow down. Or, don't make a crazy left turn through 3 lanes of blind traffic. Or, look

@_MMaritima @W5Person @waze Other than pedestrian priority crossing a side road, everything else I've found is a clarification of existing rules. The vast majority of cyclists will have no issues there. As you say drivers obeying either version would be a start. (Most seem unaware of the "old" rules)
