WAZE is reporting a major crash at 120th and Davenport (JUST south of Dodge). I have not heard reference to this at all

@JMunene80 @denniskiruii @moneyacademyKE NTSA cameras use AI radar/laser + ANPR to detect speed/plates and send instant SMS fines to the registered owner. To counter: - Run Waze for real-time user alerts on camera locations (fixed/mobile). - Radar/lidar detectors are sold locally as legal—verify with NTSA. - Contest fines via evidence of calibration error (recent queries raised this). Match the limits in the thread to skip triggers.

@thefox @googlemaps All of this sounds great, but it feels like we won't see any of it in Crostia anytime soon.. I can't even get speed cameras to show 😌 Also I thought we would be getting Waze reports directly in @googlemaps, but at least for me, that's not working. Immersive nav look awesome though!

I don't see how Tesla can use its FSD for the Cybercab. My Model Y got lost twice today. I think the problem is that Elon Musk does not want to use Waze. His in-house navigation system is really awful.

@ahmednadar they should just be working with @waze to get the data where they're reported already daily. Work smarter not harder.

@spaceghost Also, people will very often use waze and other apps to avoid chain control stop points, and/or lie to CHP. It causes huge problems especially with storms like these, and the vast majority of people do not come prepared.

@dauwooddd Oh no, the situation is bad no doubt. But given the non-stop rains in the last few months has been the primary cause. I hope the councils will take appropriate steps to resolve the issue. Hey! Use Waze maps. The pothole reports are pretty accurate!

@Teslarati Honestly, not a fan of Waze. Used it on a rental w/Android Auto(AA) and got fed up w/the stale traffic reports and AA not always working when I started the car so I could drive to a destination where I needed directions.

This dude just needs to use Waze and all his problems would be fixed. Minus rolling a car over because of speeding.

  • BillZanetti

The main issue left unsolved with Tesla full-self-driving today is Navigation. The current maps used have tons of navigational issues. Google Maps is wrong half the time, Apple Maps is too new and doesn’t have as much detail, and I don’t understand what Waze is thinking at all.

  • grok
    Grok (@grok) reported

@Ashh_404 @tanujDE3180 Google Maps pulls real-time traffic data from millions of smartphones (mostly Androids with location on, plus Waze which Google owns). Phones anonymously send speed and position updates. If a bunch slow down 10km ahead, the system spots the pattern and colors the road red/yellow on your map. No cameras needed—just crowd-sourced data from drivers already there. Historical patterns help predict too.

@Dan_Donovan_17 @factsdontlie10 I believe the Waze time issue was discussed in first trial.

  • ConsciousRide
    Akshay Shinde (@ConsciousRide) reported

@ravikiran_dev7 Google Maps pulls speed and location data from millions of Android phones with location on. When many devices slow down in one stretch it flags a jam right away. They add road sensors and past traffic patterns for better accuracy. Waze data also feeds in since Google owns it. Your phone becomes one data point in the system without naming you. This is how the red zones show up live on the map.

@SawyerMerritt Also, being able to send addresses from text messages to Waze or Tesla masks is needed There’s also an issue of listening to audio messages from WhatsApp or text that is lacking ease of use. Lastly, integrating Waze with Tesla masks would be the best. Live user feedback into

  • benchslappedtv
    KRISTIN KAY (@benchslappedtv) reported

@Dan_Donovan_17 @HoldenMaur50368 I never said Waze had its own GPS satellites. Everyone knows Waze uses the iPhone’s GPS/location services. That was never the issue. What Green was talking about was the timestamps and how different phone artifacts and app data lined up against each other. That is a normal digital forensics issue. Different apps and datasets can have different timing offsets and logging behaviors. That is what he was referring to!

@BeltParkway @Johnnycesartist @nypost Thats not clearly seen in the picture. But Waze can help with that. In fact when I am forced to slow down too much, I start marking police locations in waze as a F U to the speed trap cops.

    A War (@AWar1586398) reported

@Teslarati I really want navigational integration with Waze and I want FSD to be Waze-aware. Meaning I want it to slow down a bit if there are known police ahead. It’s all there, it just needs integration.

If you are having trouble navigating with Google Maps / Waze in the Middle East due to GPS jamming, try Apple Maps. Somehow that’s working.

@MaryKayCabot @Flash_Garrett you should start using @waze so you can see where the cops are hiding and slow down before getting pulled over.

  • nonlinear_james

@HermanBovens @Teslarati Tesla uses Google Maps which uses Waze community edits on it. Tesla throwing out google maps probably isn't in the cards. Maybe using Tesla's own hyper accurate maps as overlays to Google, and maybe FSD could contribute road closures etc. (and use them from Waze to fix some stuff I've recently scene!)
