  @TomWright165389 Waze died on us within about 20 mins of leaving the M25 for the M1. Google Maps also screwed. Apple Maps remarkably seems to be working even on 1 bar of 5G - and even when the phones go onto SOS or satellite mode. Still, ridiculous that reception is so poor.

  @JOKAQARMY1 So you delete waze and use google? They share your dirt with whomever? What issue would cause you to sue waze? It’s free, and you are free to use it or don’t.

  @waze two issues. The mobile camera reporting is out of control. People are reporting Flock cameras when I feel the intent is to report the speed trap cameras. Secondly my icon inexplicably changed and despite changing it in settings, it is not changing on the map screen.

  @EyrahClyne @XavierNaxa I use it a lot. Due to navigation is easy to understand. But a lot of bugs still need to be reported and fix, need more users to use and reports. Even GMap or Waze still has bugs with large user base. Sometimes Apple Maps has newer update that them

  @ardeiusmaleus @catgirlprostate np! if you want to see how they mapped it you can go to the Waze Map Editor, login, and if you go near a part of the map not part of your current environment it will prompt you to switch. eventually I think they will merge everything but idk

  @Finnaboutanut @DonShift3 Google maps is integrated with waze now too my man. If your trying to avoid them, dont use Google maps, waze, or apple maps. Atleast Waze is fairly accurate with police location you can slow down before hand

  Waze has not worked well for me the last two days. I had to uninstalled then reinstalled for it to work. Then on top of that the steering wheel felt weird. Vibrations. I was worried that the vehicle was about to start having issues. Today I realized what the vibrating sensation was. My audio is always on Vol Max. I had forgotten to turn the sound off on Waze. It's been talking to a deaf woman who has been worried that she was going to have to call a toll truck.

  @OGsDontFold Google Maps is so trash. Randomly won't give audio updates for turns, suggests locations further away for no sensible reason, randomly loses connection and stops updating directions. I have tried Waze and it gives me similar problems. There is no winning these days.

  @ZachAbramowitz It's heavily context dependent. For some use cases, the downside is equivalent to getting lost from Waze. In others, it's more like a car crash.

  Part 1: 21 one year old Jason Landry disappeared while driving home from college in December 2020. Jason was a student at Texas State University in San Marcos. On the night of December 13th, he left his apartment shortly before 11 p.m. and began driving toward Missouri City, where his parents lived. He was planning to spend time with friends during the Christmas break. His family wasn’t expecting him that night. Phone data showed Jason traveling south through Luling. At around 11:26 p.m., his phone stopped connecting to the Waze navigation app near the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Austin Street. Investigators believe he continued straight instead of following the main road and entered Salt Flat Road, an isolate gravel road outside town. Jason apparently lost control of his Nissan Altima and crashed through a fence before striking trees. Authorities concluded that it was a single-car accident and found no evidence that another vehicle caused the crash. At 12:31 a.m. on December 14th, a volunteer firefighter discovered the wrecked car. Its headlights were still on and the keys remained in the ignition. Jason was nowhere nearby. His phone was later found wedged between the driver’s seat and the centre console. The initial response created problems for the investigation. A state trooper inspected the scene, arranged for the car to be towed and removed ********* from Jason’s backpack. However, Jason’s clothing and several belongings were left along the road, and no immediate search for a missing driver was launched. Jason’s father, Kent Landry, learned about the crash and reached the area around dawn. After finding Jason’s phone inside the impounded car, Kent returned to Salt Flat Road. Roughly 900 feet from the crash, he found his son’s shirt, shorts, underwear, socks, shoes and watch scattered along the roadway. A small blood smear was found on the clothing, but investigators said it did not suggest a serious injury. There was no blood inside the car. They believe Jason may have received a minor cut while climbing out through the damaged fence or surrounding vegetation.

  Why is there no Waze for golf courses. Every weekend someone drives out to a course that has punched greens or patchy fairways and finds out when they get there. That information exists. Other golfers who played there that morning know it. It just goes nowhere. TurfTracker is the app that changes that. Crowdsourced conditions, one tap to report when you arrive, rewards for contributing. Know the condition before you commit to the round. This is the iOS concept I have been working on.

  i complained about this in a reddit convo i was having and someone tried to argue that drivers use waze to avoid traffic? even after i'd given multiple examples of drivers not understanding me saying "just turn on broadway instead" it's such a problem i hate it

  @KetoOrkyy If you feel like you're awake but you're in a numb state, pull over and get some rest immediately. Highway Hypnosis is REAL and will **** you up. Move your head, move your eyes, park in a nice/reputable town somewhere during daytime and take a little 15 minute walk. If you don't need to be at a place at a specific amount of time, take it slow. NEVER go more than 10 (15 is okay if there's a backlog of people behind you) over when you're on the 10. Drink fluids, don't do too many energy based drinks. They'll give you a good boost but then you'll crash. NO DRIVING FOR MORE THAN 8 HOURS IN A DAY; also limit the amount of time you're driving if you've been up for 12 hours beforehand. Bit of an iffy one, but I never pick up hitch-hikers unless they look like they're on the brink of heat-stroke. Use Waze or Google Maps to know where police are, or if there's an accident ahead, etc. Bring items that you can use to repair your vehicle, duct tape, fix-a-flat, along with what Alexander Dross said in the replies. i think thats all i can think of rn

  We’re not going to help these people by bringing in a few hundred thousand of them into our country. There is probably close to a billion of these people. Instead, we need to send people over there to train and educate as many of them as we can in Waze. They could work to fix this problem. They are extremely primitive people. They are inappropriate to be selected to live here in America. ________

  @AutoInfatuation I’ve always used Google Maps and never had any issues. We’ve also got TomTom in the vans and I’ll be honest, they are shite, especially in central London. Tried Waze once and really couldn’t get on with it.

  @JimHendley4NC Just purchased a new vehicle and it most certainly has the option to load and run “CarPlay” both wired and wirelessly. I use Waze via CarPlay without issue. I listen to X spaces wirelessly without issue. This thing even has a wireless charger, though it’s difficult to get alignment with a Gorilla Case on the IPhone!

  @SurScribbles It has problems integrating with many cars (believe, I feel like I always seem to rent them in my travels), I don’t think adding more stuff to the Tesla UI is the answer. Plus, my phone is always with me. I have access to all of the stuff CarPlay would carry over. I can stream music directly from my phone, or use Waze (which I do). At the end of the day, CarPlay is meant to bridge the car to its passenger. But with autonomy, none of that is necessary. Ultimately, you’ll be able to use your phone or laptop or anything else in the car. That’s why I think CarPlay is a step backwards. Not forward.
