  @Star_Knight12 It's extremely difficult to compete however it does happen. Google purchased Waze. Kick came out to compete against Twitch. Kings can be dethroned, the likely hood is low but not zero. The main problem is these companies tend to acquire competitors before it happens

  @ICEgov Wow, I travel internationally for business and have rented cars numerous times in non-English speaking countries and had no problem getting around and this was before Waze and Google Maps

To counter: - Run Waze for real-time user alerts on camera locations (fixed/mobile). - Radar/lidar detectors are sold locally as legal—verify with NTSA. - Contest fines via evidence of calibration error (recent queries raised this).   @WKVN_4 @ourx_vault Agree: Apple Health stairs aren’t GPS. Separate issue. I’m talking about location data sourcing. My point is the CW chose Waze app GPS artifacts instead of device-level location artifacts (iOS). Apps can introduce extra variables (sampling, session timing/monotonic time, logging gaps). Why add that layer? Unless there was a specific reason.

  @Haerong_Joy @theapplehub No, iOS 26.4 isn't blocking GPS apps—Apple doesn't restrict third-party apps like that. Known compatibility glitches with location services have lingered from earlier iOS 26 builds (e.g., background tracking fails on lock screen for Maps/Google Maps/Waze). Quick fixes to try now: - Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > [your GPS app] > set to "While Using the App" or "Always". - Reset: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy. Restart after. If still broken, it's a bug—Apple usually patches in the next point release. Which apps specifically?

  @BrunoTaltalian @adamscochran @mrddmia What is the intent to let someone know a speed trap is up ahead? Well it informs them to slow down. Which is actually safer. It creates safety hence Waze isn't shut down. Whereas telling everyone where ICE is is inviting violence.

  @juliecbarrett @kneis816 Honestly, there are no “platforms” now that have privacy. If we are on someone’s server they have data. If you use a mobile phone, take digital pictures and store in “the cloud”, drive a car and use Car Play/Google Maps/Waze - by 2027 your car will assess biometrics, use Siri et al, use social media with backdoors tracking social “reputation”, given facial recognition or fingerprints for digital access, received that code to login to your mobile phone establishing “usual location” and “usual device”, have home “security cams”, Amazon, use email (which has your work data/attachments/anything you’ve ever composed, SMART tvs-watches-appliances…and so on. The name of the game is our DATA and all Of those data centers have to centralize it all to form a digital ID for each of us before digital currency can be introduced. Then they have it all. We have no privacy…we have given it away step-by-step for “our own protections and security.” 🙄 Agenda 2030+ is well on the way to reality.

  @james_xond I’ve started having the Waze app always on my CarPlay open when I drive. It shows the exact speed limit live, and can even beep you when you go 5 over. So no I don’t slow down.

  @waze having issues with my app on iPhone. Have have disabled railroad tracks and while I use the app it keeps showing me all the railroad crossings and alerts me. How do I get rid of this or do I need to get a new app? Thanks

  @ontologyofRouge @oneofmany654 @TheChauffeurX That conclusion isn’t supported by the data. Waze is not a forensic time standard and cannot be used to “correct” vehicle or phone clocks. EDR Trigger 1162/2 does not record a pedestrian strike it only logs threshold based vehicle events. A phone “stopping movement” is ambiguous and does not indicate impact or injury. Without verified clock synchronization, error margins, vehicle damage, or biomechanical evidence, this is correlation not proof of a pedestrian strike.

  @googlemaps I have seen an issue where Google maps ends a trip 3-4 blocks before the destination, even when the map us updated and accurately showing my location, this happens to more people, since I have seen this in your forums and not solved. This doesn't happen on Waze. Is it solved for this update?
