@Meidas_Samantha I was using the social media of the time around 1980. Usenet news. Back then the Internet was created by geeks for geeks. Using it was, in itself, an intelligence test which kept the level of debate up. Then the suits found it and AOL made it easy and the tone went way down.

@LDrogen 1005. Similarly, BTC isn't going to zero. In fact, it will likely *never* go away. It's just - like AOL - going to continually diminish over time.

  • RMFMCoA Mike Campe (@RMFMCoA) reported

@DrewStubbmuffin @MoEgger1530 - never had AOL messenger and I was on the internet before both of you were born

  • basicallymeee Genea Anne Natale (@basicallymeee) reported

@AOL are you guys having issues with email ???? Can't get mine to sync

  • LeftistNeil neil - left-handed leftist (@LeftistNeil) reported

@badbitchinaz Don’t feel bad I still use AOL and my space

  • dlberes Damon Beres 🦇 (@dlberes) reported

(This was also, as I recall, a big problem with the AOL chatrooms and IMs of my youth, and probably IRC and so on. Obviously the scale of the issue and perhaps even the potential for harm is much greater with these platforms, though.)

  • Minimish28 Michael Piqué (@Minimish28) reported

@jacksfilms Serious question, what separates zennials from either? Not old enough to have really used AOL but not young enough to relate to tik tok dancing and cancel culture

  • EvrybodynthrMom EverybodyandtheirMom🌋TyrantofSons (@EvrybodynthrMom) reported

@akramgubran @WholeMarsBlog Oh, definitely not. I researched cryptos in 2017 and already saw the issues with Bitcoin. I trade it, but in the longterm, I'm betting $BTC and $ETH might turn out to be AOL and Yahoo.

  • lilimi66 Lisa M (@lilimi66) reported

@AOLSupportHelp as of yesterday 5/12/21, I’m no longer receiving mail in my inbox from aol in my iPhone. The error message says that I need to enter my password. I’ve entered and re-entered the password and still no email with the same error message. Please help!

  • blackholebomb Black Hole Bomb (@blackholebomb) reported

I think about things. Like, of all the CDs ever printed, what's the actual average amount of data written to them is? There were like 70 billion AOL and Netzero disks, probably only had a few dozen megabytes, and that's got to bring down that average.

  • Skygon59 Marty McFly (@Skygon59) reported

@MSarmadawy @onirodi @SecretsOfCrypto Glad your kidding. Just don’t think aol is analogous TO BTC. BTC IS CRYPTO GOLD and GOLD NEVER GETS OLD
