One thing I can never stop thinking about is that in some developing countries, Facebook _is_ the internet. Facebook have made an AOL on steroids situation there and it’s a scandal

“I recently noticed you created a screen name on my AOL account, and have been online late night when you should be asleep. I won’t be mad if you are honest with me.” I was so embarrassed… thinking he thinks I’m some perv. Yes, I was googling “naked boobs” or some stupid ****…

We can be friends, but leave me outta the troll drama. That **** wasn't cool to me during the aol chat room days in the 90s. It damn sure doesnt interest me now in my mid 30s. ... you're right, i dont like the dude, therefore he does not live rent free in my head. I moved on.

@hey_im_dry Back in the early 2000s and some 2010s I used to have every IM, AOL, MSN, Yahoo, Skype, you name it. I talked to countless people everyday. Nowadays its next to nothing. I'm bad at keeping contact and talking. So any convo I have usually fades away until I end up deleting them.

  • celspi Rana NWCA (@celspi) reported

@SurfBelle2 Too bad took 3 more years. Not a fan of that character at all. No dog to Christine who played what was written for her well. Wish AOL got producing credit in season 7 on so the storylines would’ve progressed.

  • AlanVRK Alan Stacey (@AlanVRK) reported

@vickihb_one @TristanSnell Compuserve delivered email to home users from around 1990, and AOL a couple of years later, albeit on slow connections normally. It was a weird mix of people who had fast internet connections and used email a lot in the early 90s.

@dannydiekroeger Oh wait before I block you... BITCOIN is OLD tech... NO uses cases... SLOW... EXPENSIVE... HUGE Carbon Footprint... Bitcoin is destined to share the bed with @AOL... .
