What I don’t understand is I live in rural England, my broad band with @BT was abysmal, slow , problematic and hard to get customer service whereas when we had AOL for years we had no problem / good service and now @SkyUK since 2015, great speed / no problems. Same place!

@sunsetmog 2.5, I never joined MySpace, and yes, AOL was definitely a US thing. The half is because I've never used a typewriter to actually write something, but I have 'used' one.

@JezebelKat I got 1… I never succumbed to the barrage of AOL disks. I did have a hotmail and yahoo account as early throwaways.

@Kizzia30 @EmmaGrant_01 @darththalia 2.5 and only on technicalities. My mum didn't trust AOL, I wasn't allowed near the record player, and I was given nan's old rotary phone as a toy but never used it for real.

@OhsakaRin 4. Never paid by Cheque, we didn’t have AOL in Australia. Never had a boombox, and never owned an encyclopedia. I would’ve had 5 (fax) if I never moved to Japan.
