@teleject @meyerweb It kinda does though... With MSN Explorer (yes that was a thing in 2001, competing with AOL) we enabled "toast notifications" and the name was because "the little thing popped like the toast on the screensavers." Real toast never does that. It sits there. It sometimes Burns.

@SteveSchmidtSES I paid close attention to all birtherism and even wrote about it for AOL News at the time. There was next to no McCain birther thing. Clair McCaskill introduced S.Res.511 - A resolution recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.

@Dominic__Noble I laughed and then I felt bad because you're bearing your soul but it's funny but I can feel the pain from here. I'll commiserate with the girl who ditched me at the Manyunk Diner and then set her AOL IM away message to the '**** a duck' song.

@NevilleD35 @Yahoo As long as it’s not AOL you’re good. Yahoo has the strictest spam rules if any email service.

  • lawebber215 Get the data straight now, hang 'em later ن (@lawebber215) reported

@NevilleD35 My AOL account got closed because I never used it, and it got hacked. They shut me down for spamming porn. Got it in '94, because it was the only email service at the time that could handle attachments - in my case, invoices and expense reports.

  • TheDarkTao Tao 🧢 #Vote (@TheDarkTao) reported

@Schmaniel @nancywyuen Just showing up unannounced is bad. In the early days of the internet, I was pretty open about personal details via AOL. A woman I used to chat with showed up at my place of work FROM OUT OF STATE. I don't hve my real name attach to any SocMed, and hedge on pers. details online

  • Lewk_io Lewk.io (@Lewk_io) reported

@DidierTory @AOL Yes I remember how awful it was don't worry. Just because you thought you knew what you were doing in 1997 doesn't mean you know what you're doing 23 years later. You can't even tweet properly. Quoting people won't improve your stats and spread your reach

  • fehrbehr3 fehrbehr (@fehrbehr3) reported

@CryptoXing oh yeah, i would never compare $band to $link - don't worry. $link - outdated piece of junk destined to fail - think of it like the AOL broswer. $band - flexible, scalable, cheap - will take over the sector.
