    Victor Meldrew moment! Ordered a new oven from @AOL for delivery today. Given a 7.00am until 7.00pm delivery slot. Rang now will not be delivered until next Sunday. Not informed of anything. Asked the service department about what they can do to correct it! Nothing. Cancelled.

    @DrBourbonstein I’m still using—though I only look at it like every four months—the same AOL account I’ve had since (I think) 1999... (backed up by the Gmail account I started in 2004/05 & basically never used & literally didn’t look at for over a decade)(Internet is cool)

    also to clarify I USED compuserve but I had no idea what ******** I was doing on it and could not tell you one thing about it, I'm an AOL Child

    @Johnson4Dallas Thanks for your service, Mayor. I registered my mom 3 times but never received confirmation (not in SPAM) as I did for the one time I registered myself. Yesterday, I registered her w/my other email address and got her confirmation. Fyi, there may be a communication issue w/AOL.

    @rysimmons yup, we had it for a couple of months iirc before switching to AOL. I also had a friend who lived down the block who had AOL a few years before that, when it was like three colors

    @RevJeffHoliday Since I was 12. 29 now AOL Dial Up was crap. Made youtube unwatchable. You had to buffer. Pornsites that was full of videos, but if you click one you go to another site. Fanforums and multiple Pokemon sites with the same info ED was the edgiest thing at the time

    @TheHermitDruid Dude the TROUBLE my sister would get into for tying up the phone line - but also for how much she used AOL when that **** was like $5 an hour

    @DrBourbonstein The funny thing about aol is that obviously it’s horrible, but also: basically no spam. I assume it’s bc it’s so outdated that scammers don’t even bother ******* with it...
