these kinds of tiktoks are no different than AOL forwards in the 90s that told women that someone was hiding under their cars in parking lots. it's the same fearmongering that riles up (typically white) women to lock down their neighborhoods.

  • ohheyynina ohheyynina (@ohheyynina) reported

Proof that it’s all a simulation: 10yr old Nina wearing braces talking about nerd **** in AOL chatrooms 30yr old Nina wearing her Invisalign retainer talking about nerd **** on discord

  • twobitidiot Ryan Selkis 🥷 (@twobitidiot) reported

Imagine if Congress had regulated the internet with only Microsoft and AOL in mind. That's what bad defaults in crypto policy could do to web3. We can't hinder startup and emerging protocol growth, even if the bad headlines persist. We need a sandbox.

  • KarenFixCurry Karen Fix Curry (@KarenFixCurry) reported

@RevJDubya AOL was the worst when I handled my Dad’s estate. They locked it out and wouldn’t accept a death certificate as proof. My mother ended up losing all contact with friends at a very difficult time.
