@aolmail I have tried messaging your support a week ago but didn’t get a reply. I have an inactive account that I want to delete as I am receiving huge amount of spam email in my back up gmail that is connected to my inactive aol email. Can you help?

@VegasVisions When greed becomes too large, one loses it all. AOL & Yahoo never thought they'd be irrelevant.

I told my dad what Electron clients were and he looked visibly horrified. He used to work on old CompuServe infra before AOL and flames nodejs whenever he gets the opportunity. So when I informed him that all of his VOIPs are chromium browsers powered by node he was broken.

i can't help but feel like kids are always berated for just existing. like yeah, a child's gonna play games like fortnite or roblox. yeah a child will use tiktok. and that's gonna be a part of their childhood, same way mario or sonic or AOL or w/e was for yours. let them have fun

@peterjandringa @nwilliams030 hmm, just poked around and perhaps i'm thinking of how their 1994 AOL service worked before this site? could also just be a folktale...either way going to lean on the analogy - when websites first came out, we didn't realize how much more could happen beyond static content

2. PORN, (that every teen boy in the world can get FREE)! The NEW MANAGEMENT of Twitter has fallen for the SAME "short-lived" Revenue that DESTROYED AOL back in the 1990's. SHORT Twitter stock!!! It's already down half It's value since June 2021!!!

@The_Primal_One See, I would disagree. If left alone with a computer, even in the early 90's, I found plenty of porn. Let's not even talk about some of the stuff I was exposed to through AOL chat rooms and MUDs. I found and saw plenty of deranged ****.
