@JesseJerdak Now I'm sifting through my mental archives trying to remember who my first character was! I know it would have been a RedDragonInn character on AOL, but I had so many I can't remember! Damn you making me skip down memory lane!

  • Daves_n0t_here Dave's not here 🧅 (@Daves_n0t_here) reported

@Thespookykiwi @DianeP89 I will never reveal that one. Possibly the most embarrassing part of it today was the "aol" domain.

*Vince Mcmahon during a live malfunctioning AOL chat in 1998... VM: I apologize for breathing in and breathing out and wasting your precious time, but, perhaps, we can do it again some other time, when AOL has their **** together. #wwe #vincemcmahon #quoteoftheday

  • badnecklace Mala Bhattacharjee (@badnecklace) reported

Me: a person who was on IRC and AOL and all sorts of early internet thingies. I had an Apple IIc and a dot matrix printer. Also me: Can’t use a library PC without a Gen Zer’s help because I am An Old now. lololol

@GreyM0user @ToldenLee @LoveRetroBTW Oh god no... GEOs was way before anyone 'though' of AOL. It did support dialup BBS services though an xmodem like interface. but very few people had the 300baud modem and even in our area there was like 2 phone numbers and I was in a metro at the time...

  • SebWrites Sebastian White (@SebWrites) reported

@AOLSupportHelp There is 'nothing' else to say... I've said "everything" in the tweet?!? Can you forward this onto a manager please, I as I've informed yourselves about this 'many, many, many times...' and it is promised the problem will be resolved - yet it still persists?

@LegacyKillaHD I disagree I feel this purchase might have been a bad move. My suspicion is that M$ paid too much and that in a few years when the next Activision/Blizzard titles flop or need seen as the worst purchase since AOL got bought. Remember when that was being hyped?

  • djdurr Don Durr ن (@djdurr) reported

@AOLSupportHelp did you change your POP or SMTP server settings? I’ve been unable to pull down my messages since 1/19 at 5:21 pm

@DarrenTheDegen Yeah I guess, but alts are simply crypto companies issuing shares in the form of tokens. Can be replicated and manipulated time and time again. A global, completely decentralised, network cannot be replicated. Will have to see where it goes but the AOL, Google analogy is lazy imo
