@KhakiBlueSocks @KevDGrussing No, no, no, they BOUGHT the debt. See, AT&T thought the Warner Bros. library and their plans for it would be enough to cover the debt...then somebody checked the books AFTER the purchase. The "OH ****" could be heard miles away...with laughter from ex AOL Time Warner bosses.

Also something I discussed with my husband after rewatching Dawson's Creek is how I feel bad for today's youth. It was simpler back then. We didn't have social media, or cell phones. We had AOL, but dial up and parents needing the land line meant no 24 he access to friends.

@AbogadoMike Exactly - OF COURSE it's going to fail, it's (1) AT&T and (2) Time Warner, a company that is accumulating an awesome pedigree for failed megamergers (AOL)

@Xfinity technology and customer service is like traveling back in time to early days of AOL. Their answer to horrible service and wasting your time is to call and waste even more of it . It just doesn’t work. I am not your technical service wizard. I pay you to provide service!

@BarneyF35912246 @JesterRex @WhitlockJason He left ESPN’s Page 2 for AOL Sports (in 2006!), returned to ESPN to launch The Undefeated (which didn’t publish **** until Whitlock left), and now he lives in Clay Travis’s weird covid-denying corner of the internet
