@VABVOX Good heavens, Victoria, these come from AOL emails! So not only are the senders awful people hiding behind screen names, they're also sending their messages from 1991

@daddysether I would caution against applying problems caused by ****** tech to all the other tech in the category. AOL was a hell of a lot better than netscape and a lot of other tech companies that went bust during the tech boom...Are you still using AOL or did better tech happen?

Nothing like ending out week with a complaint from Barbara with the AOL email address. Barbara With The AOL Email. Sounds like a CX newsletter.

Imagine if Congress had regulated the internet with only Microsoft and AOL in mind. That's what bad defaults in crypto policy could do to web3. We can't hinder startup and emerging protocol growth, even if the bad headlines persist. We need a sandbox.

The fact that I wasn't fazed made him angrier. "I have 36 employees, and they all use AOL and I'm going to encourage them to cancel!" Me: Okay. Is there anything else I can do for you today? Him: That's 37 customers you'll be losing! Why doesn't that bother you?

  • KenMathis Ken Mathis (@KenMathis) reported

@BradMossEsq That information super highway was all the rage. I wonder whatever happened to it. I guess it went down with AOL.

  • chillonary la hellary (@chillonary) reported

@ChristopOConnor I thought Yahoo was bad enough but AOL?!

  • TreeganTim Demo Dave (@TreeganTim) reported

@jambojeremy @ComicDaveSmith @ThomasEWoods If he met his wife when she was 15 in AOL chat like claimed not cool… but he denied this and I believe has never advocated lowering the age of consent or that doing this type of action is not violating the non aggression principle

at this point, i have no option other than embracing friday night funkin’, because i’ll never escape it. it’s like the ending of ******* Omori except it’s a blue-haired kid who speaks in AOL startup sounds instead of my literal inner demons and unlike Omori, it’s the ONLY ending.
