    @cavaticat I think for specifically a lot of ppl who grew up on the internet and used kid sites liek club penguin or aol chat and the such it’s a habit picked up to circumvent the filter and is just down out of habit at this point.

    @Lum_ In the LTM days, I was computer smart at the time when most the public thought the internet was AOL. Was told it was useful a job skill, but as soon as I finished High School people went to laptops and caught up very fast. Never got that computer job. So it goes.

    @DakotaSkye85 Not a problem, I am old enough to remember a time when the company was known as AmericaOnline / Time Warner. Yes, AoL used to own Warner Brothers. Back when AoL was a thing that existed. Warner was cool, back in the day, but what is up with the leadership over there?

    @localgimp @w000t3 If all you care about is which one is more popular and totally disregard the technology in a technology based ecosystem then there is no hope for you. AOL was popular at one point too. The fact is Ethereum tech is unsecure and unable to scale. No amount of adoption can fix that

    And then the internet boom came for Gateway. So they partnered with AOL and were a key reason why AOL had such strong control over the ISP market. Gateway was the friendly farmer down the road that would help you through thick and thin in using AOL.
