@Tsalazar1987 @Panthers The best was having to call customer support. Log out of AOL to free up line for phone call. Hang up phone call to get on-line to try what customer support just told you. REPEAT.

@BurrdDoh My sister used to spend hours on dial up internet. We figured out how to knock her off repeatedly, by picking up landlines and hitting the hang up buttons repeatedly. Then would laugh hysterically (quietly) when she gave up attempts at chatrooms in AOL

Somehow, Musk's now-"on hold" attempt to acquire Twitter reminds me of Time Warner's ultimately disappointing acquisition of AOL a quarter-century ago. Trying to remind myself of who Time was, who Warner was, and who AOL was, though all 3 brands still exist. People gave a crap?

2/4: In the case of the internet, AAPL was a poor stock in late 90’s, MSFT a poor internet product; Amazon was a bookstore and Google wasn’t public till 2004. AOL, YHOO, JDSU-fare were the big winners late 90’s…Crypto will have it’s post-crash opportunities…need patience
