As expected, Verizon has sold Yahoo and AOL to PE. That was a costly, horrible & embarrassing experiment in content-land for them in recent years. I’ll withhold comment about the value of these sites in 2021, though.

Verizon has sold AOL and Yahoo combined for $5 billion which is almost half of what it bought it for. It has sold it to Apollo Private Equity. Get this, these guys are the owners of the Venetian resort and casino in Las Vegas that's what it has come down to.

@canefires All we had was UK garage and nu-metal and the internet was only AOL and Napster. The worst look was guys having the top part of their hair bleached and and I used to get bullied by boys in duffle coats and hunting caps :(
