@annalindwasser @MartyMoss3 @svershbow 1982 was an awkward year to be born, like a generation hybrid. My mom would ground me from the computer and then need help using the computer so I’d convince her that I couldn’t help unless she ungrounded me. I’m old enough to remember and have used AOL chatrooms.

@illworks_ Hahahaha... AOL AND AIM mannnnn bringing me back to the modem login noises! Lol...That never ever bothered me. I never minded when someone typed in all caps. Still don't...But apparently there are people out there who absolutely deplore it!

@svershbow We got our first household computer in 1993, then Windows 95 followed by Windows ME—went down the AOL-ASL rabbit hole, basic coding websites, DOS, mounting virtual discs, I even remember ordering things off eBay in elementary school between 1999-2000 with slow landline internet.

@KeyBarrettMSc fast. FetLife was really nice until the CollarMe founders had a fight & the site went down before re-emerging as CS. Before CS, there was irc on bondagecom & then there were the AOL chatrooms. With all of its faults, Fetlife has a place it has connected an entire world of 11/

@digitalassetbuy 500k transactions max Btc can’t do that many transactions that swift handles like almost 100x that daily. Lightning thunder. Nothing on that network will be capable. Think AOL MySpace Netscape. Out wit the old in wit new. Gonna take sometime but zero doubt

@SaraCarterDC This war could have been avoided if we kept exporting oil and natural gas. BIDEN AND JOHN KERRY THE CLIMATE CHANGE AND GREEN NEW DEAL CREATED THIS DISASTER AND KILLED THESE POOR UKRAINIAN PEOPLE. AOL, BERNIE AND SQUAD SHARE IN THE KILLING AND DESTRUCTION.

  • AnadarkoCapital Anadarko (@AnadarkoCapital) reported

Who already has the EV pickups? Who already has the factories? Who already has the network? $TSLA is AOL - first doesn’t mean best.

  • MonaColonia Ramona Queisser (@MonaColonia) reported

@DebraLyn22 Just read up on AOL on Wikipedia (on the German article), sounds like the company was there 85, also you would use the internet - the AOL service as I remember it seems to have started 91, and 96 had started the monthly subscription thing.

@All_Things_Mavs @1053SS It’s because Bally Sports is like dial up AOL and they never should have gotten the contract to stream NBA games.

  • FinerLawrence lawrence.eth (@FinerLawrence) reported

@cobie This is AOL dial up ****. Absolutely pathetic.
