  • chrisromerlee Chris Romer-Lee (@chrisromerlee) reported from Lambeth, England

@aolmail A family member has received the most appalling customer service from #aol. Utterly shocking. All she wants to do is reset the password as she’s been locked out & the response was effectively, go away and set up another account. She has replied, but I’m not happy.

  • JosaKeyes Josa Keyes (@JosaKeyes) reported from Ealing, England

@Miss_Snuffy Self pity finds many friends online from the earliest days of community forums up to today's toxic social media. "Share your support" we used to say at AOL and people did and lots was valuable, but a deep streak of 'alternative truth' bedded down there too to solicit attention.

  • Tullocarm Tullocarm (@Tullocarm) reported from Lambeth, England

So frustrating @SkyHelpTeam. I'm cancelling my direct debit. Screw your 'service'. I'd rather bring back AOL dial-up 😤

When it first arrived — and I made a blog there within the first two months of its public existence — @tumblr was the near perfect blogging platform. Then AOL destroyed it. Now it’s a horrible jail where I can’t get rid of this dumb screen. Thanks @automatic.

  • jasonnemecek Jason Nemecek (@jasonnemecek) reported

@AlexBrangwin 2 points. Myspace looked stupid & I Never had an AOL account. AOL kept mailing free-trial CDs to you every month but I never used one. I already had a real email address by then.

  • xiombarg Kirt Dankmyer (@xiombarg) reported

@zander_cannon Two points. I never had a MySpace account or an AOL account. The latter is only because I had a more obscure email option during that time period LOL

@Foojish I never had an AOL email address.

  • ArtemisMarama ☃️Winter Moony☃️ (@ArtemisMarama) reported

@EvilViergacht Some of this stuff I have seen but didn't use, like typwriters, but I admit I didn't know what a walkman was until I was 16. I've never seen one in person. Boomboxes, rotary phones are classic so. AOL def not because I was freaking 6 or so.
