    @peterframpton Eh. The internet also promotes democracy, but what hurts is the lack of editors, now replaced with amauters. One purpose of editorial boards is to sift through garbage & promote truth. If you remember the days of AOL, there was nonsense then too, but the platform helped minimize.

    @cerizhanathomas I convinced mum to ditch AOL last year because it was so bloody slow but rather than going with a good provider she went with the cheapest option. 🙄

    It’s crazy because I’ve been into tech my entire life. I was a teenager creating Visual Basic progs on AOL, I mean, my tech literacy is very high. So to get hacked feels 10x more devastating. I’ve never felt this violated. They made off with so much ****.
