@nemalki I had the same issue with the AOL Warner merger like 20 years ago. My teenage brain couldn't handle such a change

@Nebraskangooner If another coin flips #Bitcoin's market cap, it will become the AOL of crypto. No real use, slow, outdated technology.

@bitterclinger4e AOL was a vibe in its heyday. Also, they made it absolutely impossible to cancel.

  • MetaLabsUni Sensible GOAT (@MetaLabsUni) reported

@JoshBobrowsky I had to give my email over the phone the other day, used my AOL email bc it’s become my semi-spam email account. I had to repeat A-O-L to the guy twice (which is fine), but his response, “Oh, AOL, got it, never heard of that one.”

  • republicut123 Republicut123 (@republicut123) reported

@AOL Having huge problems with email. Getting massive amounts of Spam (requesting verification), 200+ emails. Support just sends me a preexisting FAQ. This is beyond just throwing emails into the Spam folder. I am getting 30 emails every 5 minutes

  • Billy_Zimmerman Billy Zimmerman (@Billy_Zimmerman) reported

@pokimanelol Mewtwotogepi. Was like 6 or 7 years old with my AOL kids login to go play Neopets.

  • thepocketgeek Not a Taco (@thepocketgeek) reported

@TheRogue_Elf @bitterclinger4e They kept offering me free months every time I called and tried to cancel. So I ended up with like 9 free months of AOL trying to cancel them, LOL.

  • DirectionsGuy Directions Guy (@DirectionsGuy) reported

@vitaliyk AOL should have never stopped sending out those discs. I didn't see The Well.

  • TheRogue_Elf Mystery Meat Hot Dog Elf (@TheRogue_Elf) reported

@thepocketgeek @bitterclinger4e I had AOL in England as well it was really the only option at the time. I told the person on the phone I am moving stateside and they wanted to offer me continued service etc. I said either you cancel it or the bank will. The cheeky moos didn't cancel. So the bank did for me

@vitaliyk prodigy was gone by 98. That was my first web based service. Then they tried to charge to use the forums and everybody left for the up and coming AOL! LOL. Google has taken over the world.
