@pcgamer Well, that doesn't surprise me much. Remember when Walmart tried their own internet service? It was just a reskinned AOL.

  • ConfCallUK ConferenceCall.co.uk (@ConfCallUK) reported

Amazingly, this isn't the worst deal in history. That was a previous deal involving AOL. 🤑In 2000, AOL merged with Time Warner in a deal worth $165 billion deal. 💸 In 2002, AOL was written off for $99 billon 😲 Verizon then bought AOL for $4.4 billion in 2015

@julietramm They’re all garbage. And embarrassing too. The equivalent of an AOL chat room from the 90’s passed off as NASA level tech.

  • smallseal17 Johnny Many-Bones (@smallseal17) reported

@kat_blaque If I had to guess, I'd say a producer put their foot down, and AOL Time Warner is complying, feeling like spending $100m on a Black Superman film (which will 100% make back its money) is a better investment than spending $100m on an Elseworlds film (which... might not)

  • OhFaro Faro - Boomer. Democrat. #BidenHarris2020 (@OhFaro) reported

@ProjectLincoln POOR baby’s, guess they’ll have to meet up somewhere on AOL.

@floramcg7 I now hang old AOL cds in front of my windows during migration seasons to warn them.

  • ReadWryt Edward Anderson (@ReadWryt) reported

@DailyNickNews I just remember how, after AOL lied to their customers for years claiming they were the Internet, they unceremoniously dumped their users onto the Web, where thousands of them tried to treat people like some sort of Help Desk because they didn't know how to do anything.

  • islesblogger Michael Schuerlein (@islesblogger) reported

@MikeyMike81 @NYIslanders Lol totally. AOL and AIM were super fun at the time, regardless of the crap to connect haha
