One thing I can never stop thinking about is that in some developing countries, Facebook _is_ the internet. Facebook have made an AOL on steroids situation there and it’s a scandal

@LeeDoesStuff Hmm I think we had mindspring or msn or something instead of aol, and I'm not sure we *owned* an encyclopedia, but.... pretty damn close to zero.

@infinitebuffalo @CapitalJeff Same, and then through my university account. I feel that makes me an earlier adopter than those who had AOL. Also never made a MySpace account (was that universal?).
