One thing I can never stop thinking about is that in some developing countries, Facebook _is_ the internet. Facebook have made an AOL on steroids situation there and it’s a scandal

... have a capacity to save and grow wealth as our parents and grandparents before out country was entirely sold to international investors. Banks may have a problem, and likely will consume DeFi functionality to offer yield to depositors. Banks will become AOL of financial tech.

For the record, working the AOL cancellation line in 1995 was not the best job. They'd oversold the network. Nobody could log in, but they had a third effort policy. You had to rebut their complaints three times before you were allowed to cancel their accounts.

In a display of force, AOL & YAHOO, the industry greats and my E-Mail, were wrecked and switched off to Android. Another BTC related retaliation related to CryptoTab's refusal to service accounts, which an imposter has tried to block, seeking to do untold damages elsewhere.
