One thing I can never stop thinking about is that in some developing countries, Facebook _is_ the internet. Facebook have made an AOL on steroids situation there and it’s a scandal

@AOL I’m in the Uk and can’t log in, the numbers I have linked are no longer in use. Nothing on your help page helps. I called the number as advised by the help page to be told as I’m not in the USA I can’t be helped, from someone in Romania

  • srhtckrmn Sarah “WhatAreRepublicansFor?” (@srhtckrmn) reported

Double spacing after a period is the new having an AOL email address. Friends, I thought I’d never be able to change my old double spacing ways… but I’ve done it. You can too. ✊

@Vanessa_ABee You know how hard it was to quit aol back in the day? Like I'd call and say I do not want this anymore. They'd give you 500 hours. And then you'd try to cancel again they'd say it would end at the end of the free hours but they'd give you another 1000 hours.

@UberFacts Once you signed up with AOL it was very difficult to get it stopped. I called tech support for their help and the lady admitted they made it hard so people would not even try.

  • STARCLEANINGUS James Smith (@STARCLEANINGUS) reported

@CityLab Though big tech companies never built. Only Salesforce has ever built in San Francisco since the tech bubble! AOL, Ebay, Amazon, Google, Uber, Lyft, Internet Providers, Mobile Phone Companies never built high rise commercial real estate in the US (100 story +).

I guess I'm old school but Telegram and Discord reminds me too much of 2000's AOL chatrooms. They're full of crap posts and are confusing af. Twitter isn't any better with all the scam bots but at least it's not a scrolling chatroom. I prefer Twitter. Yes I'm old.

  • JeromeOfTexas Here Am I (@JeromeOfTexas) reported

@cabel You never dealt with @AOL

  • GospelofJames James Willis (@GospelofJames) reported

I've been online for a long time, like AOL six months free trial in '96 times, my only goal after so long is to hype people I like, have a few chuckles and try to be a mostly positive chaotic good bard for the world. I'd like to think I give off "good egg" vibes but never know.

@CathyGellis @alt_tag @jess_miers The Zeran opinion is one of the worst opinions I have ever read - and that says a lot. It distorts the Congressional history and the Restatement, as pointed out in detail in Doe v. AOL. Zeran will NEVER hold up at SCOTUS. It's a trash opinion.
