@BinnieGlen @alistaircoleman There is a walled garden service (Kwangmyong/光明) available to NK citizens, like a slightly more creepy AOL. Proper internet is for foreigners & researchers only. Taking notes also stops people fiddling with phones in meetings, which is an execution offence in his view, and mine.

@RockyMountViews @true_sea Hang a bunch of old aol cds from it? I mean I’m joking but also something like that might help. Or like that shiny ribbon they use to deter birds.

@87AlwaysRed @traderstewie Better than ms parents, they call me with a question, I Google it. They had a computer in 1980, AOL email in 1992. Progress has been slow since 1994.

@FromValue i keep saying this is just like AOL when everybody was getting a busy signal, then they scaled up, met demand and the stock rocketed but apparently nobody remembers things that happened over 25 years ago. jesus I'm old

@JESnowden @LeeCasebolt I remember finding a guy with his AOL website that was legit with his claims/quality but his prices (and the terrible Canadian exchange rate) were too high for my broke student *** to order more than once 😞

  • CharIowa1 FattyCat (@CharIowa1) reported

do not perish before than. Please keep lifting each other up using AOL message boards. Don't forget to remember how to forget. The clock ⏰ is ticking & tocking & we are rocking. Be stupid, reckless & illogical. The best evidence can't be proven. I must go & wait for the bus.🚏🚌

Back in the AOL dial-up days, I could tell what speed I'd be connected at by the sound of the last part of the carrier signal. Sometimes I'd hang up when I heard the telltale song of 28.8 in favor of a faster attempt. Just me?

  • Gravityzero1 Dusty (@Gravityzero1) reported

@RedFlagNYC Back in the AOL days, we had wav files of music, and fight club and **** on quicktime/realplayer, took forever to download em lol.
