@cox_tom I decided to cancel my AOL subscription as it didn't work on my Mac. Did it during my work lunch hour. I held my nerve as they passed me on to many different people begging me to stay and offering me the world. 1&1/2 hrs later I succeeded. I had applause from work colleagues!

@Latina_Schatje I actually never really used AOL. I did work for AT&T Interchange Online Network - their competition up to getting my own Internet through my telco.

@crsofr I remember thinking keywords were dumb. Just type in the URL, heh. I also 'hacked' free internet from bluelight. It was KMart's version of aol, but you needed to have an ad server on your screen at all times or it would shut down.

@pb_317 I never had AOL as an ISP so never experienced the joy of keywords. There's a way you can download all of your Amazon history too. I did this a couple years ago and it was embarrassing how much I had spent.

@AndyWoodturner I'm willing to wager the BTinternet address will remain live for a couple of years. Their email service is as useless as everything else. At least from now on your emails won't be rejected by AOL or Apple customers. (Kettle.. Black)

@sadalsvvd The image which adorns my threads is a portrait of me as I was imagined to be. The artist and I never met nor exchanged photos. We interacted in a chat room I had formed on AOL, Mysticism. I wonder if she understood that I am the arrow and not the hunter. Regardless her vision
