The day Tesla gets added to the s&p 500 seems significant. Could it become one of those epically bad decisions that mark a market like AOL TimeWarner merger even if it ultimately harkens a new industrial era for energy and transport.

  • _RavensDesk_ Dr. Raven (@_RavensDesk_) reported

@LaChewieLynns It's almost like my pages are loading in stages....very slowly and weird! AOL was never this bad.

@fantoruse I was just thinking. We didn't use Napster but we also had AOL at that time. Can you imagine if they did the same **** now where your internet provider also did your mail and internet browsing in one program you used for everything? omfg.

  • taylordxn Taylor Dixon (@taylordxn) reported

@PabloEscobarner @thejuiceisgood Obviously, neither of you tried to cancel an AOL account back in the day.

  • WallStCynic Diogenes (@WallStCynic) reported

@SchadenCap But they never talk about AOL-Time Warner which was 6x as big as $AMZN ($150B TEV), or Yahoo (3x), both of which were far more iconic/popular with investors in 2000. Survivorship bias in action.

  • ShirlockJonesRF Spam Newton (@ShirlockJonesRF) reported

@Sammy2Nisis LMAO WORD...my moms would be mad as **** if I was on AOL for more than an hour. Fam would be calling and couldnt get thru

  • asobinas ♆Rikkichi♆ (@asobinas) reported

@doomquasar I thank fate every day that social media as it is didn’t exist when I was a tween and my Internet shame died in AOL RP taverns and a deadjournal, never to be archived anywhere

  • cult9ine Lou 999 (@cult9ine) reported

@James_K_Dubbs21 But AOL dial up, ordering Pizza Hut and renting some tapes at Block Buster was my ****, Or finally getting home from school snacking on some cereal or hot pockets watching TRL countdown w Carson Daly

  • jlock17 Jerry Lock, Yahtzee Grand Master (@jlock17) reported

You’d think something important like, idk, our nuclear weapons systems would be on its own closed network and not running on the latest AOL promotional CD-ROM that came in the mail.
