  @PsychicWarsVet I had quite a stack of AOL disks once. With a good wrist could hit your friend at 50 ft. I remember rumors there would finally be code that would interface DOS & my TOS (Tramiel Operating System - Atari Computer) for programs. Nope. We went down fighting, though. Jeez, I'm old.

  @kylet___ They didn't dominate internet. They had a proprietary network with their own content. You could access the internet through the network. Dial up was going away, and as the web grew, demand for AOL network disappeared.

  @UnpaidComintern @TalkTankie @derkatsfoter In my literature class we read Romeo and Juliet but it was adapted into AOL messenger speak and even worse one page was the regular words and the rest was that awful mishmash and it went over as well as you'd imagine

  @AOL Can we bribe you stop disabling people's accounts well they are sick and then refusing to reenable them? Also, you should take down the deceptive advertising that says you are happy to re-enable them.
