@ToniC8 The larger the following, the increased likelihood of that crap happening. I remember when chatrooms on AOL were fun and interesting. That was when AOL still hadn't reach 250 thousand members. Then the flamers joined. Arrrgh. Makes me feel like a f*cking elitist.

@JordensGE @EBischoff @83Weeks See this is where marks like you become the most naïve idiots ever. WCW’s downfall didn’t have a damn thing to do Eric Bischoff. It had everything to do with the AOL Timewarner merger. And if you don’t know your history you don’t know jack

  • BeansInYourBum Undead Beans 👻 (@BeansInYourBum) reported

@RationalPanic @MatthewStadlen @CentreLeft_ That's just stupid.. Most people only have Gmail addresses now.. AOL doesn't exist anymore old man

  • OldHeathen ***** Old Heathen (@OldHeathen) reported

@SnoopandWillie @Clarja_wewon I haven't found anywhere that still produces them. The only source is us weirdos who stocked up, and we don't just give them out like AOL CD's. I have 5 that have still never been used and I'm thinking of donating them to The Smithsonian. But I also have Bernoulli disks. 🙄

  • BoxingLegendsTV Boxing Legends TV (@BoxingLegendsTV) reported

@eliistender10 Are you using internet explorer on your AOL dial-up to get this info? This is old news and it never even happened

  • tonightatomic beware the chalupacabra (@tonightatomic) reported

@msdictator I'll still never forget when I was in college like ten ish years ago and someone checked their email in class and YOU'VE GOT MAIL rang out. Some of us laughed in AOL. And the youths were like WHAT WAS THAT.

  • dorismyoung gamechanger (@dorismyoung) reported

@AOL Fo your homework, Japan used ivermectin at the beginning of covid, never shut down businesses, never closed down the country, their covid patients not subjected to vaccines, they r thriving. Maybe fauci should talk to them.

  • Hbk9701 Hbk970 (@Hbk9701) reported

@WWEHOFerSunny For the newer fans that don't know... AOL was an internet service provider (back thens version of Comcast or Century Link) and just about 90% of everyone connected to the internet used AOL... it WAS the entire internet basically. Anyway... "You've GOT mail" LoL

  • yoquieropizza 🐍 (@yoquieropizza) reported

I can’t believe we all used to sit around and listen to the fckn aol login noises.

  • AllieTheEditor spooky seasonal pumpkin latte (@AllieTheEditor) reported

@dappergander Lin clearly never spent any time in AOL or IRC chat rooms or had a MySpace if he thinks Twitter was the first to allow handles. Tell me you didn't pay attention to the internet until Facebook, without yadda yadda yadda
