@mmpadellan never myspace or aol acct, cos i did not have the money to have a computer when those were the big choices.

  • 2_wheels Michael Breth (@2_wheels) reported

@Judianna Got 'em all! But the real tell isn't the AOL email, it's the Prodigy email. History: Prodigy was the first internet service that charged a monthly fee as opposed to Compuserve that charged by the minute. I signed up in '84. ATT eventually bought and destroyed it.

@JewelKnightJess Just the AOL address for me, got many of their free disks through the post for whatever reason but just never signed up with them

  • iamannemay Anne⁷ (@iamannemay) reported

@TTownbts @Annalovesseven 1 point. Never had MySpace. Had to have AOL back then for a copywriting gig. Also used that for a D&D group that I was writing with for a pen-and-paper RPG story we were doing (found out later I was the only 15-year old and they were all in their 20s and 30s).

  • _derpymadness DerpyMadness (@_derpymadness) reported

@JayDrawins 1, I never had an AOL account, I don't live in 'merica.

  • Highbury_11 Highbury ⚠️ (@Highbury_11) reported

@orionrezil @mars1768 Did signing up for AIM force you to have an AOL e-mail? I know I've never actually used it for e-mail if I did, and I never signed up for AOL proper. It's the only one missing on this list for me, but I wonder if I actually did by technically but don't realize it yet.

  • CityHoosier The Hockey Hoosier 🏳️‍⚧️ (@CityHoosier) reported

@gomer2323 8 for me. Never used a rotary phone, floppy disk, typewriter, listened to music on a vinyl record, had a MySpace account, AOL email address, used a paper map, or paid with a paper check.
