@hmeisler Believe me. I remember. Went to work at AOL in ‘99. Got a load of options. Never in the money after they vested.

@larry_irving AOL started going down about a month after I (and Lisa, maybe) started. Total coincidence.

@Judianna Got 'em all! But the real tell isn't the AOL email, it's the Prodigy email. History: Prodigy was the first internet service that charged a monthly fee as opposed to Compuserve that charged by the minute. I signed up in '84. ATT eventually bought and destroyed it.

@TTownbts @Annalovesseven 1 point. Never had MySpace. Had to have AOL back then for a copywriting gig. Also used that for a D&D group that I was writing with for a pen-and-paper RPG story we were doing (found out later I was the only 15-year old and they were all in their 20s and 30s).

@orionrezil @mars1768 Did signing up for AIM force you to have an AOL e-mail? I know I've never actually used it for e-mail if I did, and I never signed up for AOL proper. It's the only one missing on this list for me, but I wonder if I actually did by technically but don't realize it yet.
