malinvestment.jpeg (@malinvested) reported@atelicinvest kind of seems like it’s as simple as: can’t price to marginal utility in a competitive market, you have to price to marginal cost. and every day, it looks more and more like tokens will be a competitive, many-player, non-oligopolistic market. it’s not like AOL ever tried to price their email service based on the cost of sending the same messages via USPS, nor could Yahoo / Google price search based on the equivalent cost of the human labor of looking through microfilm at your local library
-
Michael Morrell (@michaelmorrell) reported@immaterial_ink @solanamobile fully onchain chat protocol like aol instant messenger. pgp for dms. powered by memo program or something. biggest blocker is adoption friction i.e. getting it in an existing wallet app, and/or getting pkeys imported, and establishing a network effect
