@richmanab @IanColdwater I’m one of the few people of a certain age who’s never had an AOL account. But in my case, it’s because I was grandfathered into my university’s free dialup internet for about a decade. I remember when .com email addresses were still a novelty. In 1990, almost all were .edu.

@scottjstephens I mean hell, we “seasoned” spouses are explicitly told to not even use our real names on SM. We got our first AOL accounts and email addresses in college and it was beaten into your heads you never ever share any personal information online EVARR. There needs to be training here.

  • RyanTBrice Ryan Brice (@RyanTBrice) reported

@renrutkram Websites selling sermons have been around almost since AOL. Every pastor knows this and probably knows someone who uses them. Many must use those services or they wouldn’t exist. It’s gone on forever and is only a public issue now because it’s convenient for some at the moment.

  • S_OReilly_USA Steven O'Reilly (@S_OReilly_USA) reported

@john_gravino @ProtecttheFaith Use another mail if you have one. AOL never delivered it...but Protonmail worked immediately.

  • khrister_b Christer B (@khrister_b) reported

@Cunobaros Technically Eternal September ended years ago, in 2005 when AOL shut down Usenet access.

  • DerricDtweets Derric (@DerricDtweets) reported

Fear Street was awful. It also wasn’t 90s. Chatting on AOL in 1994? I don’t think so. It didn’t even come out until 1997. What a huge missed opportunity across the board. #FearStreet1994 #FearStreet
