Trying to get through to some ppl monitoring your call for service needed is a herculean effort .This is the second day I am trying to solve an AOL problem with an operator speaking broken English. Throwing up my hands in frustration .

@Kyyhky7 yeah like...i mean i grew up with aol and **** so like they said paying for the new version isnt really a new thing. but they really made it unnecessarily confusing and charged

@thedigitalyenta Oh yeah. I used to work at a company that sold courses to teachers to help them move up on the payscale. The number of aol emails that were “Maryknits66” or “sixnineismightyfine” was astonishing.

@Djuanito93 @the_moviebob To restate your argument, they are pulling resources out of the growing are of streaming in order to support the declining area of cable. Perhaps they aim to be the last man standing in cable. AOL was fine in dial up, until it wasn’t.

@Nintendork9 The first internet service I (and many others) used. Our family didn't hop on the AOL train right away though. It wasn't until they charged a flat monthly fee that we took the plunge. It is pretty crazy that they initially charged by the hour!

@likaluca Never did AOL, but I've been using CyberGuide and Cyguy2000 since the 1990s. I shortened it to CyGuy or Cy_Guy but squatters have those handles here.
