    @NealCoolong @diannaESPN Oh my God. The AOL portal. I still hear that electronica screeching, followed closely by “welcome, you’ve got mail” in my worst dreams.

    @ponekeben 1. Never had an AOL account. This clearly puts me in the tail end boomer category corresponding to my actual age. For me, the biggest loss is people not being able to read and navigate with paper maps. Kinda useful skill when the internet goes down.

    @asianmanrecords I’d say 1–never had an aol addy—buuuut I definitely had a rocketmail email and a geocities website and I feel like that more than makes up for not aol address. Definitely had an aol messenger handle too.

    @diffusemoose 3 for me, though mostly because AOL and MySpace are US-centric. Never wrote a paper cheque otherwise.
