Reading lots of critical pieces about AT&T era at Warner and the knight coming to the rescue. Let's see how everyone is feeling in next year or so. In meantime, those castigating AT&T as the worst thing ever to happen to Warner clearly don't remember the AOL era.

@TheBarrylad I feel like the narrative of how silly and bad WCW was at by the end has made people think that they died because of just that - and not because they had lost 60 mil the year before and then even after crazy budget cuts were losing half a mil WEEKLY on AOL/Time Warners dime

@ThatEricAlper AOL Customer Service: "Click Log in, sir." Me: "OK, let me write that down." AOL: "Actually, we're finding it's better for you to just trust that you'll remember these steps. It's how a 'User Interface,' works sir." Me: ** blink, blink ** ** writes down, "Step 1: Click Log In" **

@ThatEricAlper I was a kid as the internet rolled out so my memory of what was internet vs not is fuzzy. AOL CD-ROMs are probably the earliest. One time my phone line got crossed with a neighbor down the street and I couldn’t get online until they hung up their call.
