@annasproul I was one of a handful of producers in the Dulles, VA AOL newsroom on 9/11. The campus was evacuated after a plane that departed from the adjacent airport slammed into the Pentagon. I’ll never forgot having to sit on my hands because they were shaking so much I couldn’t type.

There can be no risk-free opportunity in sports, business or life. Failure is catastrophic bc of a lack of preparedness. Sears, DC redskins, Blackberry, AOL, & NYC knicks were at the top of their game, but they failed because they were afraid to fail. #failureispartofsuccess

The Invasion angle should've been the most epic moment in Wrestling. Without all the major stars from WCW, it never lived up to those expectations. Very disappointing. There also was no Twitter to explain those AOL contracts for those stars too. #RuthlessAggression

@woolfhound That was precisely my experience with NYT, and it reminded me if when I had similar experiences trying to cancel my AOL or Bally's membership. Tacky and desperate.

@justin_hart Terms of Service > Bill of Rights. You have to follow the rules if you want to play in the pool. It's been that way long before the AOL chat room days. People just glaze over the ToS and accept them as is.

@jonbraylock Imagine being a Gex Xer - one who remembers the dawn of the internet & AOL dialup, and how sick we feel every single day. I don’t feel “old,” but I feel sad for how dumbed down our species gets with each passing day. This isn’t how “progress” was supposed to work.

@DodorododoTv @vodafone_de The worst internet experience I have ever had. I think AOL 20 years ago over my phone line was more consistent than Vodafone has been in the 3 years since I moved here. I’d recommend AOL 56k dialup over this joke of a company 👌🏼
