@5knotlife @hyp36rmax @OrevaZSN Nice try? ************, almost no regular family had internet in their homes until the mid-90s with AOL, Prodigy, and CompuServe. No one gives a **** what you were doing in a lab, moron.

@broderick They didn't sale us internet they were saling their service with access with internet. AOL initially wanted to be a contend provider. They failed because people had access to the Internet via generic ISPs.

@ThrillaRilla369 My first was AOL, which i had before the web. Yep, pre-web internet was all the rage back then. I had a dial-up, 1300 baud rate modem. Ask @Grok how ancient and slow a 1300 baud rate dial up modem is! Criminy!

@TalkTalk We have been with Talktalk (AOL) for over 20+ years, and to be honest, they were never the best in the business. However, since transferring over to fibre optic in 2025, it has gone from bad to worse, and we are getting out ASAP.

@ResaPixie @genxlife77 @OrevaZSN I’m a Xennial and internet was a thing in the early/mid 90’s but niche until 95 after movies started showing it. AOL sent discs to everyone’s home & businesses. I learned how to type on a typewriter & computer. My high school boyfriend’s family had internet in 94. Since 97 I’ve had access to the internet 24/7 starting with Sony’s webtv (non-dialup) then AOL in the 90’s. In 2000 I’ve had a modem (router) & never used anything else. Everyone’s environment back then was different based on economic circumstances & some people didn’t understand the “interwebs” lol.

@ZephyrNCC17011 @RossKneeDeep 19. But I am proud I never ever had an AOL account. Or does it count if you just e-mailed someone with an AOL account?
