@Gaston04425964 Part of the issue, is we don't know if any kind of Breaking happened at the end of the First Age, or for that matter, how long the AoL actually was. Though RJ referred to it as a long Age in one ***. Add to that, you've got two known factors in the Breaking itself...

@sweenz104 AOL was terrible in the late 1990s. THey actually long ago fixed many of their problems, so they're really no worse than any other service, but they still have that reputation hanging over them.

@vectorpoem @GreatDismal I used Compuserve and AOL on a Mac to get to Usenet and Gopherspace. I remember downloading Mosaic to use with Delphi Internet to get to the World Wide Web, but I never could get it to work.
