@EvrybodynthrMom @TeslaAndDoge This is just a dismally bad take. Bitcoin reached $1 trillion faster than any FAANG stock did. It has dominant network effects. It isn’t AOL, it has already won.

@JustMe7613 @chipfranklin I had a buddy same thing happened. They weren't ugly or rude and could do it electronically. This was infant internet days and was amazing that a bank used computers for something other than AOL chat rooms.

  • ThinkLearnVote Think, Learn, Vote 🍁 (@ThinkLearnVote) reported

@FatsOvercoat Twitter, Reddit, #PickASideYouTube—their time is over. How they end is the question. MySpace became obsolete. Napster was buried under legal trouble. AOL and ICQ were closed. What will end Twitter?

  • badboychronic badboychronic (@badboychronic) reported

They had a service called mailblocks. Worked so well aol paid them off just to shut it down. Someone emailed you it did not tells you unless they answer answered a question. Spam just stopped. Anyone know one that does this today ?

  • borgdad Topical Text Goes Here (@borgdad) reported

@scdemandred @Stonekettle Back in the day the stupid spiked in September when the freshmen got online then tapered off as they were "educated." Then we got muggles pimping green cards and the final straw: AOL connects. Now it's always September on the internet.

@Zipper_99 @YoroiWallet I'm emotionally attached to @YoroiWallet & it does have some features i dig... but gahhhdamn it's been a real pain in the *** for the last month or so. Takes 30secs at least to sync on any page or transaction. Then the Trezor issue. Feels like dial-up AOL

  • Ryan06974467 ryan (@Ryan06974467) reported

Doubtful many will appreciate this, but... My father just asked me if I could “help” him create a new email. But, why, you ask?! He currently pays @AOL $30 a month to “retain” his from the late 90s! He never stopped using, or paying for it, in what is now the 3rd decade since!
