    Me in 1996 holy **** we got 200000 free hours of internet from my dad copping them aol free 50 hrs internet disks from confused old ppl Me in 2021: wow the few old ppl who were homeowners got bought out and my house is gonna become a pilates studio wtf

    @gbildson @pkedrosky this was also before the pay per click search model. Netscape charged search engines $200k/yr to appear in the drop down search. Netscape did end up selling to AOL for $4 billion.

    I was more professional than this in 1998 when 18 year old me literally wrote an AOL wrestling zine as a heel like Vic Venom. I never approached talents for interviews in character. Probably how I got interviews with Kanyon and Chris Candido. You know, by not being a ****.
