I don't wanna be greedy but I also want, Thursday morning, AoL car park, Wee Phillie sticking his big, stupid shouty face in Roy Keane's passenger side window and emerges with a bust lip and a smile on his face.

  • SafePen Rob Safe BIC Pen (@SafePen) reported

@hmillerdev On AOL Instant Messenger and similar, there was an arms race between 'warez' providers of 'faders' (gradient colored text automatically) and 'punters' (would kick the recipient of the malformed string off AIM) and the service provider. I feel like the internet was better then.

@kelseyhightower Do you remember when AOL was thinking of putting a fee for sending email, because SPAM was such a problem? Remember how bad that idea was? I think k8s on block chain is worse. Think of all the status and state updates that would have to be written to the chain.

@alecfisher01 @Xx_Boone_xX @MethodicalMemes Folks say that, but the Sony paid significantly more than MSFT. I don't think it was totally a reaction to MSFT's deal with ATVI, but folks have to remember that people are human and make bad decisions from time to time. AOL+TimeWarner happened.
