@majornelson Why? AOL emails are perfectly legitimate even if AOL itself is garbage.

I hope AOL doesn’t go out of business once we have to cancel my dads account 🙏🏼

@growing_daniel That network effect got pull. The network is worth more than any if the technical assets. You'd use this thing with the interface from AOL in 1997.

X AOL CEO.. said we need to do business.. and they want to kill us.. That's just stupid. No that snake won't bite you.. What is it? Rattlesnake

@tha_rami I always wonder how many people pay for it and don't use it for a full month or months. Because I think there was a stat about how many people were paying for AOL years after not using the service. They still have a profit from non-playing.

@rileybbq @toddlerboi The two of you are classics from an era gen z’s will never quite grasp. The Internet was new, the options were so limited,… your blogs were my first means of reading about individual stories rather than being stuck on DPF or AOL private rooms

  • DesignatedSally Sirap (@DesignatedSally) reported

@JenArtsu I totally understand. I spent 2 1/2 years talking to my husband on AOL in instant messaging and then half a year on phone calls. Once they’re with you in person, you never want to let them go.

  • NJMomforinpers1 Normalcy now (@NJMomforinpers1) reported

@cliftonaduncan I am a little younger than you so I never had this experience. By middle school everyone was on AOL and sending instant messages. I am sad that I didn't experience a tech free childhood.
