    I lived through the 90s and prodigy and AOL The U.S. Embassy Japan website has to be the worst-designed website with the most ridiculous input form I’ve ever seen in my life.

    The younger millennials were supervised *because of* elder millennials being unsupervised. We literally had an international incident because a girl in 9th grade hopped the tunnel bus to pre-9/11 Windsor to meet a guy lying about his age in an AOL chat room. It was on the news!

    @TheGoldenDays MSN messenger and/or, AOL Instant messenger. even better, AOL didn't really seem to care if you used signed up for it with an aol account or not. anything to break free of the utter garbage that facebook is becoming.

    @BackupHangman Depends on what part of the world you lived in. In the US they never remember a minute without the Internet. I was born in 84 and the Internet was already there by age 10-11. AOL dial up but still. I was pirating CDs at 14.
