@News4SA Hahahhahahahahaha. Have you actually watched one of these. He’s awful. It’s like trying to teach my 80 year grandmother how to use AOL ten years ago.

@trengriffin Still trying to figure out if AOL is a fail, what do you think?

  • michaelmickler m|che|m|ck|er (@michaelmickler) reported

@julietramm They’re all garbage. And embarrassing too. The equivalent of an AOL chat room from the 90’s passed off as NASA level tech.

  • dbennett_ks Curmudgeon (@dbennett_ks) reported

@jorah In the ‘80s we had to use them. If you used one service like CompuServe as a gateway for mailing to another service like AOL, you had to include them. As soon as those two realized that users were doing that, they both shut it down.

  • SacredTbag Wizard's First Rule (@SacredTbag) reported

@pcgamer Well, that doesn't surprise me much. Remember when Walmart tried their own internet service? It was just a reskinned AOL.

  • kurtssphincter Kurt Vonnegut’s Sphincter (@kurtssphincter) reported

@amandacarpenter These people are so disengenuous. AOL banned me in 1993 because I spammed a chatroom as a child. It was a paid service. My parents actually lost money. But they were a private company and (rightly) determined I was ruining the service for others. This is not a new phenomenon.

  • jackbeano187 jimmy the gent (@jackbeano187) reported

@Aiannucci That was Armando's Iannuccu gibbering classic, oh aol oh aol, why art thou so ****.

  • islesblogger Michael Schuerlein (@islesblogger) reported

@MikeyMike81 @NYIslanders Lol totally. AOL and AIM were super fun at the time, regardless of the crap to connect haha
