Companies dragging their feet on deplatforming bigoted harassment is deja vu. I worked at AOL when they were slow to act on child porn trading. It took @crimmins testifying to Congress about their negligence to get them to act. Let me tell you what that was like.

Are you any good at explaining issues to customers? More than half my life ago I worked for AOL technical support here in Dublin supporting the UK market. Most of the problems we fixed were run of the mill connection/modem/telephone signal quality issues..

@KimberlyNFoster Spoke to someone that was in college in Chicago. Spoke of meeting sometime, didnt happen. Then she disappeared from aol. Never heard from her again.

I got locked out of my VSCO account which has published photos that I was getting paid for… tried to reset the password and the recovery email is my AOL which was deactivated for inactivity technology sucks

@HealThruHistory @TemperanceAlden i used to have a binder filled with discussions i had printed off of the various AOL groups i was in back in 02-03. i was way young (12/13) but oh man was this a treat for my starving little mind. i honestly dont think i had any other resource at that time. our library was meh.

I was really out here jacking off to bitmaps & jpegs while interrupting the phone line thanks to my Compaq computer and a stolen aol account login using the 56k modem. You don't know my struggles, you don't know what I've been through, and how far I have come to get where I am!!
