@AriDavidPaul Yes, & making Crypto into email-quality ubiquity is a ways off. Iterations (Arpanet->compuserve/mciMail->AOL/Prodigy->yahoo/hotmail->Gmail) drove incremental improvements, took >5 years, even w/ more people focused on more acute problems before grandma-ready

  • brujaruca Nina (@brujaruca) reported from Austin, Texas

Somehow some skater dude I was all 🤤 over found me in an aol chat room and then asked me to be his gf. My dumbass said yes and then when I saw him in school the next day he was an ******* to me.😒

  • yakshavers Maria Einhorn ✊🏼 (@yakshavers) reported from Austin, Texas

@lightning_kf @loreleiwashere good lord. I think this movie is a waste of time to but don't be that clown. "oh...did i make you mad?" Is this your first ******* day on the internet? That **** was old back when I was on AOL. Have some self respect and don't engage with people like a cretin.

  • JEmbury3 J Embury (@JEmbury3) reported

@TheIdealistic1 Never had a MySpace account or an AOL email address. Not that I couldn’t, I just didn’t. So 2, I guess.

  • Smamfa75 Sam (@Smamfa75) reported

@Fazza69 2 never had MySpace or an AOL account

  • My3GirlsinCO David J Brennan Jr (@My3GirlsinCO) reported

@ZR1Trader AOL “You’ve got mail”, and that awful screeching when you were connecting will@forever be burned in

  • comat0se Mike (@comat0se) reported

@M1SJE @drfrasher @dl6kbg That's weird because I find eQSL to be the worst overall experience by far. 1990s AOL-like era website and confusing as hell. I personally use QRZ and then export to LOTW. Very simple and intuitive.

  • InsaneLayne2525 AliceTam (@InsaneLayne2525) reported

    @ScottStories I'm only 35 and I scored a 2, never had a MySpace or AOL account. LOL

  • xieish Scareless CRISPR (@xieish) reported

@AricToler I am skeptical here. AIM usernames never allowed underscores & the offensive words were always banned on AOL/AIM screen name creation. I remember because when they moved from 10 to 16chr there was briefly a bug where you could bypass the word filter.

  • logicsayz (Jules) Waiting for ICAC with teeth. (@logicsayz) reported

@SandyHorne61 Well - what a bummer. But that's the first complaint I have heard re AOL. I use them all the time. Makes me be a tad more careful next time.

  • MiggyMacP Mignon McLemore (@MiggyMacP) reported

@LouGarza86 3 - Never owned encyclopedias but had access to them, never had an AOL account or MySpace acct - didn't like either one, so passed.
