  • davehendricks Dave Hendricks (@davehendricks) reported from Austin, Texas

@AriDavidPaul Yes, & making Crypto into email-quality ubiquity is a ways off. Iterations (Arpanet->compuserve/mciMail->AOL/Prodigy->yahoo/hotmail->Gmail) drove incremental improvements, took >5 years, even w/ more people focused on more acute problems before grandma-ready

  • jvfriedman Pumpkin Spice Must Flow (@jvfriedman) reported from Austin, Texas

I remember reading Ender's Game in 1995 when my frame of reference was AOL and my school's internal BBS. The concept of a Locke or Demosthenes coming from the Seventeen message board on AOL was inconceivable. I'm sure many of those girls are now Q, so what ******** did I know?

  • daniel_clift_ DC (@daniel_clift_) reported from Austin, Texas

I also found out, that he was lying to me and he had an AOL account that he STILL USES TODAY. He just didn’t want the spam and gave it me, damn... I got played...

  • dtoddsmith D. Todd Smith (@dtoddsmith) reported from Lost Creek, Texas

I will never understand lawyers who use Gmail and the like (or worse yet, AOL) for their professional email addresses. It’s super easy to get a custom URL and inexpensive to run email through that address.

  • wright_laron LaRon Wright (@wright_laron) reported from Austin, Texas

I need COD to chill on the advertisement of other COD ****, I’m too ******* old to navigate that ****, gimme the AOL version of the game.

  • yakshavers Maria Einhorn ✊🏼 (@yakshavers) reported from Austin, Texas

@castalia444 @BrandonStraka Nice talking point lifted directly from whatever AOL chat room you MAGATs hang around in.

  • MatthewEJohns10 Matthew E. Johnson (@MatthewEJohns10) reported from Austin, Texas

@BC_Trevor Sometimes a business has to adapt or fail. Take AOL back in the days for an example. Even though they were leading the space at the time with plenty of money to play with, they still failed. The world was heading towards high speed internet and they stayed with 56K dial-up.

  • LabrasaurusMom Lisa in G (@LabrasaurusMom) reported

@BidenHarris1234 @AdamKinzinger boy I miss the old days of AOL where we could play a sound byte for people like you. {S idiot

  • NKhelps NKServices2022@gmail.com (@NKhelps) reported

@WFLAJosh Wow!! That will show them… pathetic response. Cancel their AOL account also, they will withdraw for sure

  • rluctntadulting Nicky Laird (@rluctntadulting) reported

@JoeTyner5 @svershbow I remember chat rooms (AOL/MSN and later Skype) and Bebo until I left high school. Got Facebook as the hot new thing in 2007. I think it opened up en mass in 2009 here. Fallen down memory lane now... forums... neopets...haddo hotel. I Miss some of it. Don't miss most of it lol

  • TikiRose Mary Rose Adler (@TikiRose) reported

@Meta Yes, I'm going to troll you about your Message software, because it's horrible! Fix it so it works more like a nice Microsoft word communication product like @AOL's email. Texting is horrible. I hate that too. It has limited message length just like your Message does.

  • frankdpi Frank Mitman (@frankdpi) reported

@EricOosterbeek @UberFacts Yep. I remember. Slow. Glitches. I used Webcrawler. The old AOL CDs. The weird old days

  • IanMakMakay Ian Makay (@IanMakMakay) reported

@terrinakamura @SAVEURMAG @AOL All my "appearances" would have been between 1995 and 1998. 🤔 I think there's a link to a tiny piece I wrote for the front section of one issue on my LinkedIn profile. The rest aren't online any longer.

  • DoggerlandMan Support Ukraine 2022 (@DoggerlandMan) reported

@HMMCoach @VinnieTortorich Dude - a lot of people use talk to text and no one gives a **** about these things anymore. Unless you're making these comments from your AOL account.

  • mrtonyproctor Tony Proctor (@mrtonyproctor) reported

@AOLSupportHelp when I try to login it says my email address is not recognised ?

  • erikakulnys Erika Kulnys (@erikakulnys) reported

@ThatEricAlper on't let me post since they shut down my account since the World Peace Party. Can't upload it to youtube, twitter, etc. If the world is gonna explode with nuclear war cause NO ONE WILL LISTEN TO ME ABOUT ISIS/AOL, at least I'll be on the beach :(
