@genentech I began to notice Dopples of me (those piggy backing onto my AOL payroll, etc.,) who seemed to be getting in trouble for being scum, and giving into blackmail to give away real Ed @eddonegan s DNA. Often this is Obama and Secret Service connected.

@ItsMeHenning I just remember connecting to BBS in the early to mid 90s. We'd use free AOL diskettes to connect using very slow dialup. Using old US Robotics modems... starting with a 14400, from what I recall.

@butterstbeef Right if I wasn't on child oriented web pages or a service like AOL that had specificed AoL kids, msn kids etc I was on a videogame forum that were tiny communities that were theme focused on a anime/videogame and moderated 😭

@ZekumaruZ @KOBBYANY @MAJTOURE Yeah. Crappy little roads kept up with local tax dollars. Unless they weren’t. Comparing those to the interstate is like saying AOL is solely responsible for building the internet. Which ALSO was a government program they private industry never got around to inventing.
