@flexandflora I’ve never had the name display when someone follows, I just have a little AOL guy pop up with a "Welcome in New Friend" message, but I ALWAYS *attempt* to thank them by name. I might try this out and see what happens!

@hbomax so I just read they plan to drop the @HBO part of the name. Just plain #stupid. Reminds my of @Macys dropping Marshall Field’s. Is it hubris or just plain brand ignorance 101? Just as bad as Verizon and their ridiculous decision to change Yahoo and AOL to Oath.

When Bewkes was promoted to TW CEO, his job was to undo the damage from the AOL merger by dressing it up and selling TW. I’ve noticed a bunch of the sr. creative execs now have very nice production deals with AppleTV.
