@misterslaw @notdred Yep you will never stop bad behavior on the internet. Scam/spam emails have been around ever since I had an AOL account.. but we find effective ways to minimize their harm..

@genentech I began to notice Dopples of me (those piggy backing onto my AOL payroll, etc.,) who seemed to be getting in trouble for being scum, and giving into blackmail to give away real Ed @eddonegan s DNA. Often this is Obama and Secret Service connected.

@aolmail It is ridiculous that I am unable to help a neighbour who is 80 regain access to her email. I am a friend and neighbour and have only received barriers and knock-backs from aol. They advise her to access her email to resolve it but the issue is she can’t? Ridiculous.

I've been getting a lot of dubious emails that are coming my way, despite being addressed to an email with an aol domain The worst part is that they're not even interesting misdirected emails, just stuff that feels like they'd direct me to a site that secretly installs malware

@Cernovich The internet is so different than when we were kids. We had a like a little status on aol/yahoo and just a chat. The real issue is the lack of parent and child education on algorithms and content moderation of parents (at a certain point I’m assuming the kids gotta get a screen)

@keffals Yeah, I wish people weren't so dumb. It's been a thing as far back as I remember. From creeps on AOL chat rooms back in the day, to new ****. And people can act like they know better, big mad when they are called on it. Yet they keep falling for it. ******* hell it sucks.
