@jrhuddles @verge Every time a boomer asks if I want my online history held against me, they are likely talking about stupid things I probably said, but I think back to my Geocities FF7 fansite (lots of copyright infringement, I'm sure) and being accused of god-moding in an AOL Marvel Sim chat.

if i’m gonna be completely transparent, the moment I moved from AOL to AT&T dial-up was because of the first harry potter movie trailer which kept crashing my AOL connection (my mom made me responsible for most internet things then but she agreed to call AOL to cancel service)

  • JavierDamien Javier Damien (@JavierDamien) reported

@MarkTepperSWP How about NOT selling AOL when it hit new high after new high @MarkTepperSWP back in late ‘99- only for it to CRASH! Sure, don’t be so damn greedy and be happy with BIG gains and move on...

  • Just_Carryon Catholic Carrion (@Just_Carryon) reported

My mom keeps getting fake emails (3 of which she has fallen for and I had to help her call setup a new bank account) and I just don’t understand how a women whose had email since AOL can be scammed so easily. Like, are we all to become like this in old age?

Once in 8th grade these two kids from my homeroom who I never talked to invited me to a private chat room on AOL so they could accuse me of being a ska poser

@ForbesCrypto They need to add a LOT more tokens. I think of #Coinbase as AOL dot com. It’s new but it’s sucks... bigtime... once people figure that out they quickly move to Binance or KuCoin or any other exchange far away from coinbase.

  • hondanhon Dan Hon (@hondanhon) reported

If you had someone trying to figure out what happens when bonding multiple internet connections to a mid-90s ISP that never got renamed to AOL, you could call it the Quantum Double SLIP Experiment.

  • bentraverse Ben Traverse (@bentraverse) reported

@CounselorAdrian @Kevin_Lumpkin @jess_aloe If you have a problem with that, fax it to my AOL address.

  • jklavette J - the Ultimate Anon (@jklavette) reported

@Pwnrer @robferdman Ya know, I still have an AOL account, but mainly because I did tech support for them back in the day.
