@crypto_fruit The friction from the Yellow Pages to AOL was a little greater than the friction from Etrade to Coinbase. Might need bigger adoption to have the same significance (although network effects on web3 have greater impact)

I remember reading Ender's Game in 1995 when my frame of reference was AOL and my school's internal BBS. The concept of a Locke or Demosthenes coming from the Seventeen message board on AOL was inconceivable. I'm sure many of those girls are now Q, so what ******** did I know?

@sherkhantx @draecomino I guess at the end of the day it comes down to whether decentralization matters or not. There are definitely two camps. Just like some people liked AOL back in the day. AOL wasn't bad or anything.

I wish I can go back in time and never use AOL as an email or at least swap out way sooner

@jymmytolland @Gogo I'm sure we paid about the same as that for dial-up internet service and AOL back in the 90s, and, apparently, has the same internet capabilites as this company.
