Richard Hanson ✡ (@RichardH1818) reported from Merrifield, VirginiaEmail server Recommendations anyone? AOL has been the host for mine--but now they've made it hard to use. They now put different, and very distracting, balloons at the beginning for each message. I don't want a message service that makes it harder.

Christina Haftman (@Cr8DigitalAsset) reported from Fair Oaks, Virginia@robertoblake I went to college pre internet. We had large computers with floppy disks, DOS command prompt, loud, vibrating dot matrix printers and slow screechy modems. This was before Windows and IE. Before email. Before AOL. Before NETZERO. Before Yahoo Messenger.

Cassie (@AtashiwaKei) reported@faridahgfff @SuccessSuzzane yeah my bad . it just that there were xianxia dramas that were popular among international audiences before it like TMOPB and AoL that definitely got many people interested in watching Cdrama
-
gravy (@gravyxbt_) reported@CSGOhistories I first played cs on won network on aol dialup 😭

-
Pearl (@ppearlman) reportedAnthropic compute capacity problems are insanely bullish. It reminds of AOL 30 years when the company was getting dumped on for dial up busy signals & then the stock went up like 2000%

🇨🇦3DInPhil🇯🇵 (@3DInPhil) reported@reprinted3D @SirayaTech @snapmaker I never used AOL or compuserve. I first had internet in 1992. Had my First htm (before it was largely called html) based website in 92, made by notepad. Had a couple geocities and angelfire sites also. Browsed using Netscape.

@HMSProtestantLion (@CJohn81246) reportedThe Financial losses weren't the biggest factor Dave, AOL Time Warner was, just because you like to talk and paint something as fact doesn't make it a Reality, AOL didn't want wrestling on it's programming and that's the true end of WCW, TNA lost millions, difference was Network.
-
Frank (@Frizzvisions30) reported@JDfromNY206 I think TKO is killing WWF on purpose just like AOL/Time Warner killed WCW on purpose because they don't want Wrestling anymore. They made their money and now they can probably cast Wrestling aside and eventually sell it off for cheap once the value goes down

Alastair Campbell (@RadarLanark) reported@Conac02 18 possibly 19. I've definitely never used a waterbed. Whilst I don't think I ever had an aol account, I may be wrong on that.
-
Geo Webber (@exobscuritas) reported@RossKneeDeep 19. Because AOL was laughable garbage and I already had an email address.

Rodney Latstetter (@rodwlatstetter) reported@GetSpectrum HAS BEEN FLOODING THE MAIL AND HAS TEENAGERS GO DOOR TO DOOR TRYING TO PUSH THEIR INTERNET SERVICES. I'M IN NEENAH, WI, AND HAVE SEEN WHAT SPECTRUM IS LIKE. IT'S REMINISCENT OF THE ORIGINAL CABLE SERVICES FROM THE EARLY 1990S, BUT NEVER CHANGED ANY OF THEIR EQUIPMENT OR HEADEND. IT IS EXTREMELY QUIRKY AND TELEVISIONS WITH THEIR CABLE ADAPTORS TEND TO ASSUME A LIFE OF THEIR OWN, AND THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO UNPLUG EVERYTHING AND REPLUG FOLLOWED BY AN HOUR OR SO CUSSING AT IT UNTIL IT KIND OF WORKS AGAIN. IT'S LIKE HAVING AOL DIAL-UP WITHOUT THE GOOSE HONKING MODEM! THE TV GUIDE THEY FORCE YOU TO USE IS MADE "BY MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY INC"! THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT THERE ARE ABOUT 3 FIBER INTERNET PROVIDERS AVAILABLE AND MANY CHOICES FOR PROGRAMMING PROVIDERS YOU SELECT ON YOUR OWN! SO THERE ISN'T A DAY THAT GOES BY WHERE AT LEAST ONE OF US DOESN'T GET MAIL FROM SPECTRUM, BUT ALSO THE LAST 4 FAMILIES THAT LIVED HERE AND ONE OF THOSE PASSED AWAY 6 YEARS AGO! I UNDERSTAND SPECTRUM WANTING CUSTOMERS, BUT YOU HAVE TO FIRST LET GO OF THE 1990S! DIG IT?
